Google announced next gene nexus tablet

Google held a press event today and used the occasion to announce the second generation Nexus 7 tablet.
After a string of leaks and rumors that culminated with Best Buy prematurely putting up pre order pages, Google has finally made its second-generation Nexus 7 tablet official.

The new Nexus 7 weighs 299 grams and is 8.65mm thick. The screenis 7 inches with 1920×1200 pixel resolution about 323.45ppi. This tab runs on latest android Jelly Bean 4.3 with 2GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage, a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor,  a 5-megapixel, optional 4G LTE, HDMI output, NFC, wireless charging support.

Google said that the new Nexus 7 tablet is 2 millimeters thinner than the first version. It’s also a bit narrower and 50 grams lighter, making it more comfortable to hold. It also has dual stereo speakers and virtual surround sound through the speakers or connected headphones.

As expected, Google’s tablet offering has seen asmall bump in price with the base 16GB WiFi model coming in at $229.99,up from $199. The 32GB version now costs $269.99,with a32GB 4G LTE model priced at $349. The WiFi models will be available on July 30th,with the 4G models coming soon though it is not known when it will be available in India.
